Synopsis
Giorgio Mainardi, a womanizer, plans to rid himself of his wealthy wife Norma. He happens to run into a sinister figure disposing of a body and seizes the opportunity to make a deal in which the killer will murder Norma. The deed is done simply a young couple, Luca and Laura, unwittingly steal the killer'south car, complete with Norma's corpse in the kicking. They head for the embankment and break into an abased old house. The killer tracks them downwardly and while Luca is out having sex with a blonde stranger, he terrorises and rapes Laura. When the boyfriend and the blonde turn upward for a threesome they are both apace despatched. After a struggle, Laura manages to fatally wound her attacker. Back in the city, the police force go increasingly suspicious of Giorgio Mainardi...

Luigi Cozzi crafts a gem of an anarchistic giallo, a sleazy cocktail of mean spirited violence that shows us the killer upward front and introduces unlikable character subsequently unlikable graphic symbol. It all works though, stumbling a scrap in the second act just homo, oh man... that opening setup is awesome and The Killer Must Kill Once more is easily my favorite Cozzi jam—nihilistic and nasty.

How the hell did I manage to sleep on this i for then long? I suppose it'southward possible that I but assumed it blurred in with all the other similar, oddly named giallo but that was a error! This isn't your typical giallo fare since we know exactly who the killer is right from the commencement and yet I was even so pretty riveted and so well done movie.
You've got George Hilton sleazing information technology upwardly nicely and Alessio Orano looking quite beautiful and then there was this real life exchange betwixt me and my husband while watching the picture show...

The Killer Must Impale Over again (which director Luigi Cozzi originally wanted to title The Spider, presumably to align it with other animal/insect-based gialli, just in this rare case I think I adopt the retitle) is a monstrously miserable son-of-a-bitch of a motion picture, and I say that having seen enough gialli in particular and enough Years of Atomic number 82 movie house in general to know that this is a fucked-upwards time and identify for movie house; the baseline misery is already through the roof. Luigi Cozzi's 1975 Giallo is a total tonal oddity, one that had me grimacing or giggling from scene to scene, feeling like a bewildering and comical nightmare.
Opening with a very creepy looking killer as he plunks a dead adult female in the rider side of a machine, then proceeds to go into the driver'south side, then slowly take hold of her chest, and bulldoze abroad, we know this is going to exist full of some heinous antics....

Sly, slick, and wicked giallo ready in Milan with a lot of attention to motives that generally circumduct around either sex or money, but with a killer who should be unhinged only is actually as common cold as ice in the mix trailing a stolen Mercedes with the body of the woman he killed in its trunk. Dead woman, Mercedes Benz, ii immature lovers joyriding in the Mercedes, and the killer who now must kill again.. The plot never lets you forget the dirty deal that set it in motion. It's like an Italian giallo in which "Fargo" meets "Psycho".

Don't read the plot summary here on Letterboxd. It summarizes the entire movie. Hither'south all the setup you demand: George Hilton witnesses a killer dumping a body and blackmails him into murdering his wife.
Dissimilar most giallo, there's no mystery surrounding the killer's identity. This is more of a straightforward thriller equally the killer deals with complications that ascend and Hilton tries to get abroad with information technology while under police force investigation. It's quick-paced, sleazy and fell. I've enjoyed all the Cozzi movies I've seen but I wish he did more than in this fashion.

The Killer Must Impale Over again turns the Giallo genre on its head by showing the killer right from the beginning; meaning that the motion picture has to derive it'south thrills from the plot rather than from revealing the mystery of the killer. Argento protégé Luigi Cozzi crafts a fine thriller; sort of a sleazy varient on the fix from Dial M for Murder. Every character in the film is completely immoral, leaving the audience to have to sympathise with the to the lowest degree bad character in every exchange. The plotting takes a bit of a downturn at times; the final human action is the least thrilling but the picture show remains interesting for the most part. It's a beautiful film to wait at and anything with Christina Galbo in information technology is sure to be easy on the center! It'south peradventure not quite a classic but The Killer Must Kill Once more is a must see for Giallo fanatics.

This actually surprised me, considering it's not your traditional accept on the giallo genre at all, i that doesn't follow whatever rules whatever. A motion picture that shows the great lengths men will become to in order to A) have sex and B) get money. It also shows the lengths that women volition accept to A) die and B) have sex or go raped (50/l shot), or C) show they can't bulldoze (100%, even dead women are put behind the wheel and pushed into a canal).

*********************************************This is another underseen giallo that's been on my personal list for a while. Finally gave up on tracking downward a reasonably priced copy of the DVD anywhere and found it available on Amazon to stream (in an English dub in poor quality, merely only $1.99).
While it features genre stalwart George Hilton every bit yet another smarmy, scheming womanizer, that's where the Giallo conventions pretty much end. We know who the killer is from the first scene and he's absolutely riveting every bit played by Antoine Saint-John.

This ostensible giallo from "Starcrash" director Luigi Cozzi is far from terrible; what it has going for it is a moody score by "Seven Beauties" composer Nando De Luca, and Antoine Saint-John as the epitome of 'guy you would non want to meet in a dark aisle' (the homo has a helluva bone structure). Unfortunately, the movie's less interesting B plot, most a young couple who makes the poor life selection of stealing the killer's car, takes over the middle of the flick, and in a genre based on visual flair Cozzi fails to distinguish himself behind the camera.
